Our Story

At the heart of EmpowerU are two dedicated mental health professionals, Angie Pitre Pellegrin and Aggie Thibodaux, based in Thibodaux. Committed to the well-being and future success of the youth in the Bayou Region, our mission is to guide them towards becoming productive adults with a vision for a brighter future.

Angie Pitre Pellegrin, a full-time Licensed Professional Counselor, Supervisor for Provisional LPCs, and the owner of Empowerment Services, brings over a decade of experience as a mental health therapist. Recognized for her contributions, Angie is a recipient of the Athena Award from the Bayou Region Women’s Business Alliance, the ACT Champion award from the Louisiana ACT State Council, and The Woman of Achievement Award from Nicholls State University.  Currently serving as a Louisiana Board Member for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and actively participating in the Bayou Region Out of the Darkness Walk, Angie extends her commitment to mental health beyond the counseling room. She also plays a vital role as the recreational therapist for the STAT Re-entry program at the Lafourche Parish Corrections Center.

Joining Angie is Aggie Thibodaux, a Provisional Licensed Counselor and certified Master Reiki practitioner. As the Director of Empowerment Services’ EmpowerU program funded by the Office of Juvenile Justice, Aggie brings her passion for holistic well-being to the forefront. Actively involved in the community, Aggie is a graduate of Leadership Terrebonne and serves as a committee member for the Bayou Region Out of the Darkness Walk sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Together, Angie and Aggie are dedicated to empowering the youth of the Bayou Region, providing them with the support, guidance, and resources needed to embark on a journey towards productivity and a thriving future. At Empowerment Services, we believe in the potential of every young individual, and through our collective efforts, we are shaping a community where the youth can flourish and contribute meaningfully to society.
